Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Demonstrated excellent assessment, organization and patient care skills required along with the ability to communicate findings in a concise and accurate manner. Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing and fluctuating priorities and workloads. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Must be able to identify own learning needs and seek guidance in professional practice where knowledge deficits occur. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job. Ability to work shift work. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. An excellent attendance record, reliability, and personal suitability must be demonstrated through employment references.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working as an LPN in a rural acute care/emergency assignment is preferred.
