Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Must have excellent communication and documentation skills, the ability to participate as an interdisciplinary team member as well as work independently. Candidate must have high organizational and prioritizing skills. A working knowledge Connect Care, Netcare, Outlook and Word as well as other applications is required. An intermediate level of physical activity is required to fulfill job requirements including but not limited to reaching above shoulders frequently, looking up frequently, prolonged periods of keyboard computer work and the ability to assist patients with mobility limitations is required (ie: transfers, bariatric clients, bending, stooping, twisting, walking distances). Must be able to lift and carry 10-15kg regularly. Must be physically able to lift 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of Insulin delivery systems.
