Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

To ensure your skills and qualifications are considered, please attach a resume and cover letter with your application. Completion of all modules from the CLPNA required. Graduation from a recognized practical nursing program with the ability to work to a full scope of practice. Must be able to move, push pull, lift greater than 50lbs. Minimum of 1-year, recent acute care medicine nursing experience required. Basic computing skills required. Must be able to work to full scope of practice (physically, mentally and emotionally) on this very busy fast paced Gastrointestinal / Hepatology Unit. Must be able to work within posted position rotation and shifts. Must possess excellent communication, critical thinking, and time management skills. Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment. Must be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of infection prevention and control guidelines and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

Connect Care training, preferred. Recent GI, hepatology, and TB medicine experience, preferred. Greater than 2 years in acute care medicine, preferred. Demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning, preferred.
