Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Current CLPNA registration and annual practice permit required. English language skills, both written and verbal required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated effective time management, independent decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills; and an ability to foster positive relationships within a team environment are all expectations of this role.
Preferred Qualifications:2-3 years' recent experience on an Acute Care Mental Health & Addiction unit preferred. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and suicide intervention training preferred. Computer skills using computer applications/programs required by Recovery Alberta, would be an asset (e.g. Netcare, Outlook, Connect Care). Naloxone Administration training preferred.
