Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year acute medical experience in the last 2 years within AHS. Ability to manage the job classification of “heavy physical demand” level as per the AHS Job Demands Summary. Proven ability to function in an acute medical environment. Proven ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proficient with Connect Care and clinical documentation standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

CVC certification. Experience working with patients with Dementia. N95 fit tested. It’s Your Move certified. Completion of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Course.
