Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, to provide quality care to patients, and to report observations. Experience in acute care within the last three years is essential. Demonstrated commitment to continuing education is required. Self-directed individual with a positive attitude and demonstrated excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, evidenced by performance appraisals and reference checks. Must be up to full scope of practice with IV medications, PICC care, etc. Should have an excellent attendance record. Must have advanced authorization through CLPNA for Administering medication via CVC, PICC, and IVAD as well as Administrating Parenteral Nutrition.

Preferred Qualifications:

Immediate past experience on medical units is preferred.
