Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Graduation from an approved Licensed Practical Nurse program required Current CLPNA registration and practice permit required Current BCLS-HCP certification required Knowledge of verbal de-escalation techniques required Computer proficiency required Strong organizational, problem-solving and communication skills required Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team required
Preferred Qualifications:Previous mental health nursing experience preferred Minimum 2 years recent mental health nursing experience preferred Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) preferred IV certification preferred Demonstrated ability in facilitating groups and family interviews will be considered an asset
