Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Qualifications:Baccalaureate preparation or equivalent as assessed and determined by the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta. Minimum of 2 years regular working as a RN in acute medicine Minimum of 2 year regular Neurosciences experience. Experience with strong collaborative skills and the ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team setting displaying flexibility and excellent communication skills. Ability to work in an environment with multiple, sometimes competing demands, while maintaining a strong focus on patients, and their required follow-up care. The successful candidate requires the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Demonstration of excellent assessment, critical-thinking, organizational, and patient care skills. Ability to communicate findings in a concise and accurate manner. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills required as this person will be required to work independently. Strong computer skills. Physical demands including lifting, pushing and pulling minimum of 40lbs; and walking, standing, transferring and transporting patients and equipment on frequent basis.
Preferred Qualifications:Outpatient clinic experience preferred within the past 2 years. eCLINICIAN training and experience is an asset. Good working Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office.
