Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Graduate of a recognized MLA course with demonstrated competency in phlebotomy and demonstration of technical laboratory knowledge and skills. Experience in the safe handling of dry ice. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Proven analytical and problem solving skills. Demonstration of collaboration within a team environment, good interpersonal skills, effective time management and the ability to set priorities. Demonstrated ability to prioritize duties and workflow. Please do not apply if you did not complete a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) program in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications:

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel) preferred. Minimum 2 years’ experience collecting, processing, aliquoting blood samples. Proficiency in using single channel and multichannel microliter pipettes.
