Demonstrated experience producing solution architecture for complex, multi-system initiatives (including integrations, data flows, and non-functional requirements). Working knowledge across architecture domains: business, information/data, application, technology, security, and privacy. Hands-on experience with application integration patterns (APIs, messaging/events, ETL/ELT) and modern SDLC practices. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and advise decision-makers using clear trade-offs (risk, cost, value, time). Experience designing for operability in production: monitoring/observability, resiliency, support transitions, and clear ownership. Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) and hybrid/on prem environments.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Experience leading discovery with clinical and business areas; independently facilitating value stream mapping, capability mapping, and current/future state process analysis. Experience translating business and clinical outcomes into architecture decisions, roadmaps, and measurable success criteria. Strong facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills in a multi-stakeholder, multi-tier environment (frontline to executive). Comfortable operating in an ITIL/IT service management environment with service owners, governed change, and risk-based decision making. Pragmatic problem-solver who can modernize incrementally (reduce technical debt, improve integration and data consistency) while protecting patient safety, privacy, and service stability. Clear written communication skills (architecture decision records, diagrams, standards) and strong collaboration across clinical, technical, and vendor partners.
Preferred Qualifications:
Healthcare / life sciences industry experience (clinical workflows, regulated environments) or comparable safety-critical domains. Enterprise architecture/modeling tools (e.g., BizzDesign, Orbus, Archi) and capability/value-stream artifacts.
