Post-secondary degree or diploma in computer science or related field. 10 or more years of DBA experience using either MSSQL or Oracle. Experience with one of the following platforms: Microsoft, UNIX, and Linux. Experience in the support and management of large database installations. Advanced troubleshooting of performance issues: evaluate code, analyze and make suggestions for improvements. Ability to balance numerous demands and conflicting priorities. Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams within set project schedules, and forge a relationship by communicating effectively with different stakeholders. Ability to identify opportunities, develop and implement process improvements. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Required Qualifications:
A combination of education, skills and experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
10 or more years of DBA experience using Oracle on Unix/Linux. Mentoring, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. Knowledge of SAN storage. Knowledge of Agile methodology and different architectural frameworks like Zachmann.
