Required Qualifications:

Completion of certificate in Computer Support or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Successful candidate must have: A post-secondary education in an Information Technology related discipline. 3 or more years of experience providing on site computer support in a diverse team environment, can be combined with AHS remote desktop experience. Experience includes implementation, operation, repair, and maintenance of computer equipment, applications, and peripherals. In depth knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite. The ability to lift 22 Kg (50 lbs.). Valid Class 5 driver license as travel is required. Additional skills: Establish priorities, schedule work, and assign resources effectively. Analyze concerns or problems arising from daily operations. Assess the effectiveness of programs on the basis of quantifiable outcomes. Promote quality improvement strategies and methodologies to staff. Promote a cooperative work environment and spirit. Function effectively within a highly demanding, dynamic work environment. Meet established, defined, or tight time-lines. Communicate effectively in English, both verbally, and in writing. Commit to a high level of customer satisfaction. Remain current in IT field. Travel to areas throughout Calgary zone. In accordance with Health Information Act (HIA), Freedom of Information and Privacy (FOIP) and other privacy legislation in effect, the incumbent shall comply at all times with APL / AHS’s Information Privacy and Information Security policies.

Preferred Qualifications:

IT industry certification(s); i.e., ITIL Foundations certification and Health Care experience are highly desirable.
