The IT Analyst II - Seniors Health & Continuing Care will actively participate in on-going development and support of applications that are utilized by the portfolios within Continuing Care & Seniors Health that focus on supporting Assisted Living Alberta and the solutions made for them in Connect Care and connected solutions. This position may include after-hours on call support. There is flexibility as to the location of this position within the Province of Alberta. At the time of appointment, the successful candidate may discuss location options with the hiring manager.

Description:

As an IT Analyst II, you will provide technical support related to information technology applications either directly to users of the systems or to service delivery functions. You will ensure reliable operations of information systems, resolve complex technical problems, find solutions to customer needs, and lead projects and program initiatives. You will be responsible for more advanced application, telecom or technology support duties. You will investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex problems that have typically been escalated several levels before assignment to this position, and will translate business requirements into technical requirements for a solution and recommend a potential approach to the vendor. You will analyse the solution provided to ensure that it fits both technical requirements and business needs. You will also spend time on project or initiative leadership and delivery.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

A recognized post-secondary degree or diploma in Computing Science or related field is required. Minimum 2 years of work experience in information technology. Experience with both vendor and in house developed applications. Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail required, effective critical thinking skills. Demonstrated logical problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and in team environments. Demonstrated customer service and relationship management skills. Ability to identify links between business strategy and technology solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

EpicCare Ambulatory Certification or Accreditation. Additional Epic reporting Badges, Certifications or Accreditations would be beneficial.
