Your Opportunity:

The IT Analyst I position provides technical support related to Health Shared Services information technology network infrastructure either directly to users of the systems or to service delivery functions. The position ensures reliable operations of information systems, resolves technical problems, assists with finding solutions to customer needs, and participates in projects and program initiatives. The IT Analyst I represents an escalation point from the service desk and is responsible for addressing tickets and issues related to network or telecom on a day-to-day basis. This position spends the majority of time investigating, diagnosing and resolving tickets and problems utilizing processes and guidelines as well as executing documented procedures. Where the problem cannot be resolved by this position, the incumbent coordinates with stakeholders to identify the scope and impact of a potential problem, develops an interim work around and coordinates with the team for problem resolution and solution implementation.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of Cisco Networking technologies including switching, routing, VoIP, and wireless. Ability to communicate clearly, document, and trouble-shoot. One or more years' experience working in a large organization. Ability to sit working at a computer for extended periods, ability to stand, lift, climb ladders, bend, crawl in confined spaces, work in a variety of indoor/outdoor environments. Ability to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Cisco CCNA certification is an asset. Experience in healthcare and demonstrated understanding of patient care needs.
