Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of experience (within the last 5 years) in skin and wound care. Minimum of 3 years of experience (within the last 5 years) in Continuing Care or Community settings. Baccalaureate in Nursing is required. Academic and clinical preparation in wound management, including one or more of the following: University of Toronto’s International Interdisciplinary Wound Care Course (IIWCC) Certification through the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) as a Nurse Specialized in Wound, Ostomy and Continence [NSWOC WOCC(C)] Current Membership in a National or International Association related to Wound and/or Ostomy and/or Continence such as Wounds Canada or Wounds International. Teaching experience in a leadership role. Knowledge of and ability to support change management. Advanced Microsoft office skills (Power Point, Excel) with proficiency in MS Outlook and MS Teams.
Preferred Qualifications:Master’s in Wound Healing from Western University or Masters in Wound Healing and Tissue Repair from University of Cardiff.
