Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Active registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). N95 fit testing and AHS required organizational learning modules. Employment in a tertiary trauma center Emergency department within the past 1 year. Minimum of 5 years clinical experience working in tertiary level trauma center Emergency department. Demonstrated coaching and mentoring skills and effective change management knowledge and experience. Must be self-directed and self-motivated with demonstrated time management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize competing demands. Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills is a must and the proven ability to collaborate in a team environment. Strong understanding and application of information and communication technologies. The successful candidate must have a proven record of a willingness to embrace change and be flexible to adapt to the constantly changing environment of the emergency department.
Preferred Qualifications:ED CNE experience. Emergency specialty certification (ENC(C)). Experience leading quality improvement initiatives and change management. ACLS, TNCC, PALS, NVCI, and Triage certification. Preference given to individuals with current instructor level CPR, TNCC, ACLS, PALS, NVCI, Triage, NRP.
