Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
Additional Required Qualifications:A minimum of 3 years of recent health care experience. Experience as a facilitator/educator and knowledge of adult learning principles. Demonstrated strong and effective communication and organizational skills. Leadership skills include demonstrated ability to work with various partners. Ability to inspire, influence change and build confidence in others. Use critical thinking to guide decisions. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development is an asset. Physical Exertion: Frequent physical demands including lifting, pulling and pushing, and moving equipment; standing for extended periods of time; sitting for extended periods of time is required. The successful candidate will work in different settings for environments and must be able to carry supply bags which weigh approx. 35-50 lbs. Possibility of shift work and extended hours.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous work as Case Manager, Professional Practice Lead or Instructor in Continuing Care setting. Strong nursing skills with background in conducting assessments using interRAI CA/HC/LTC. Demonstrated project management skills & background in quality improvement. Change management training/experience. Experience with use of data to support quality improvement. Technical skills in computer software & programs such as Connect Care, Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint.
