Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Please be advised this posting may be used to fill multiple identical vacancies arising as a result of the administration of the Trial of Modified Posting Provisions.

Additional Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years in public health working with maternal child health, with a background in lactation support. Previous experience in zone and provincial committee work, demonstrated proficiency in developing operational practice support guidelines. Demonstrated computer literacy, Connect Care, SharePoint, Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, and use of One Note. Previous experience in providing input into the development of guidelines and policies in public health or similar organization. Demonstrates excellent organizational, change management/support and communication skills (written and oral) including well-developed presentation skills. Experience in working independently with minimal supervision. Experience in supporting orientation of employees, preceptorship of students and direct supervision of public health employees in a charge nurse or assistant head nurse role. Previous experience providing education sessions to adult learners virtually and in person, demonstrating proven coaching/mentoring and leadership qualities including knowledge translation. Demonstrated competency in setting priorities, analytical critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Use of personal vehicle for work-related travel. Must be available to provide education and evaluation across the zone in a variety of in-person and virtual platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing. Cross-cultural competence and experience working with complex, vulnerable populations. Experience in collating data to inform zone and provincial leadership.
