Your Opportunity:

The Information Analyst reports to the Program Lead, Performance Analytics, Health Link 811, Primary Care Alberta. Works independently, receiving minimal guidance and direction and must establish in-depth knowledge and experience of all Health Link 811 processes to ensure the effective retrieval, analysis, and reporting of all program and client data collected by Health Link 811.

Description:

The Information Analyst responds to a range of complex queries by consulting with the Program Lead, managers, team leaders, clinical staff, and external stakeholders to fully understand and define the service/query/information requested, determines the appropriate methodology, data types and sources to use, completes the research and analysis, provides interpretations and recommendations, and presents professionally synthesized information in a format that is easily understood and utilized by management and program areas. The data and information provided by the Information Analyst supports operational and business planning, strategic planning, program and system planning and evaluation, research, as well as performance reporting and staff performance management. The Information Analyst is also responsible for maintaining data integrity and ensuring the timely availability of valid data and reliable information. Responsibilities further include quality and performance improvement using both new and existing solutions by developing and streamlining electronic tools; monitoring performance standards; analyzing and preparing capacity/utilization operation reports for zones, program areas and executive. The Information Analyst must also be familiar with the telephony systems within Health Link 811. This includes having an in-depth understanding of the complex telephony scripts and settings, in order to create comprehensive reports for new and existing programs.

Required Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree in statistics, information analysis, research/evaluation or equivalent experience demonstrating strong analytical and evaluative skills.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Five years of experience with data analysis A broad understanding of relational databases with strong analytical skills and experience with scripting in SQL Have passed the Epic Proficiency Test (or hold Epic certification in relevant modules). Experience with statistical programming and with data visualization tools such as Tableau. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
