Description:

As the Site Manager, you will provide leadership to an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals committed to delivering high-quality care to Albertans. In this role, you will make key decisions, contribute to the goals and achievements of the site, and oversee Acute Care, the Emergency Department, and the Endoscopy program. You will also build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, lead change management initiatives, promote team development and collaboration, and coordinate staffing and clinical operations as directed by the Director. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining an effective operational framework for patient and resident care services to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality care. Core responsibilities include providing day-to-day direction to staff, managing patient assignments, conducting rounds, scheduling staff, facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration, addressing concerns, and supporting discharge planning. Additionally, you will manage budget implementation and monitoring, risk management, quality assurance, and utilization activities. Your leadership will reflect and support the AHS vision, mission, and business plan while fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement to ensure consistent, patient- and family-centered care.

Required Qualifications:

A post-secondary degree in a health profession, health administration, leadership or other comparable degree Registration with an Alberta Regulated Health Profession, as appropriate. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional development (e.g. continuing education courses).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Ability to manage diverse human, financial and physical resources within a complex environment. Strong organizational skills, client-focused orientation, and commitment to providing quality services. Experience in collaborating with physicians and other health care professionals. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as demonstrated effective problem solving. Demonstrated ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Ability to foster relationships to further the effectiveness of both the site(s) managed and programs contained within. Knowledge and understanding of Collective agreements and working with a unionized workforce. Discretion with sensitive situations, data, and personnel. Ability to work hard, have fun & contribute to a dynamic, successful healthcare team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience leading healthcare teams & providing innovative solutions to complex system issues. Proven coaching skills to support team members to reach their full potential. Experience in a leadership role, ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity. Strong knowledge of Rural Acute Care, Emergency, Surgical Services & the corresponding complexities.
