Your Opportunity:

The Family Health Home Visitation program is looking to recruit a temporary (6-month) 1.0 FTE Home Visitation Advocate. As a Home Visitation Advocate, you will be responsible for providing direct outreach, home visitation case management, and advocacy services to families, as appropriate. You will work collaboratively with other home visitation staff, public health nurses, physicians, social workers, addiction counsellors, FASD specialists, infant preschool development staff, speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, law enforcement, Child and Family Services, Legal Counsel, Parents as Teachers, FASD Network, Family Center, Food bank, cultural resources and other agencies as appropriate for the completion of assigned duties and responsibilities. You will provide program participants and their families with information regarding child development, pre and postnatal care, health care, nutrition, breastfeeding, safety, injury prevention, smoking cessation, alcohol and drugs, addiction and mental health and active living. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma in a health related field. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Experience working in an outreach capacity. Experience with both mental health and substance use populations. Experience with FASD.

Preferred Qualifications:

Brain Story Certification. Knowledge of Ages and Stages and developmental levels of infants. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training. First Aid certification
