Health Promotion Facilitator II
Your Opportunity:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative individual with strategic planning, implementation and partnership development expertise to join in the role of Health Promotion Facilitator II (HPFII). The HPFII will provide support to the Healthier Together Program, a priority program that supports community development and health promotion connecting action across and within settings. Healthier Together strengthens partnerships and collaboration through governance, intersectoral partnerships, collaboration and engagement at the system and local level. This position is part of the provincial Healthier Together team and will work collaboratively to support sustainability and scale up planning and will coordinate and lead prioritized activities across the province. This will include capacity building, partnership development and management, and sustainability planning. This position will play an important role in system coordination, communication and local community mentorship approaches. This HPFII will be skilled at building relationships, engagement and working collaboratively. The position will work closely with internal and external teams and partners to ensure consistency of approach within and across settings, share learnings, leverage assets and strengthen collective measurement of outcomes. This position is eligible for hybrid/remote work arrangements located anywhere in the province. This position is part of Primary Care Alberta. Description:
As a Health Promotion Facilitator II, you will lead and coordinate health promotion, disease and injury prevention initiatives and programs using a population health promotion approach. You will identify behavioural, social, political, economic, environmental and organizational factors that promote or compromise health and recommend evidence-informed strategies to address identified priorities. You will conduct situational analyses, literature reviews, environmental scans and focus groups to make recommendations as part of an integrated program planning and evaluation process. You will manage projects using standardized tools and techniques that are conducive or aligned with health promotion, disease and injury prevention practices. You will collaborate with key internal and external key stakeholders in project or program planning, development, implementation, evaluation and improvement. You will facilitate community and staff engagement and build community and staff capacity around population health promotion priorities. You will evaluate the effectiveness of existing health promotion and disease prevention strategies and make recommendations.

Master's degree in Health Promotion, Public or Population Health, Health Education or a related field.
Additional Required Qualifications:A minimum of five (5) years of recent experience in population and public health, health promotion or a health care related field. Knowledge of and experience applying the population health promotion model, health promotion strategies, determinants of health, and health equity. Demonstrated experience with the Healthier Together approach. Demonstrated experience with community development and collective impact ways of working. Demonstrated experience with mentorship and capacity building approaches. Demonstrated experience in planning and managing large, complex projects with diverse partners. Demonstrated experience in program planning, development and implementation. Demonstrated ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into high quality deliverables for a variety of audiences (technical reports, strategic plans, presentations). Demonstrated ability to facilitate and mobilize diverse groups and build consensus. Demonstrated experience with partnership development and relationship building. Demonstrated professional experience with critical thinking skills, including conceptual, strategizing, and problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated experience working with leadership in a health setting. Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects/deliverables simultaneously. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning. Knowledge and experience with Social Return on Investment. Project management certification or education. Change management certification and/or experience. Professional record of being resourceful, creative, adaptive and flexible.
