Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Health Promotion, Health Sciences, Health Education or a related field.

Additional Required Qualifications:

3-5 years’ experience working in a public health/health promotions or community health setting with partnership/collaborative experience. Knowledge of population health promotion, the social determinants of health and health equity. Knowledge of substance use, prevention, and mental health promotion theories, principles and best practice. Demonstrated ability to work with community, including planning, implementing and evaluating effective community action/strategies. The ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team. The ability to work both in-person and virtually through online platforms. Proven communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both AHS staff and community stakeholders. Proven organizational, project management and time management skills. Demonstrated ability in presentation and workshop facilitation. Proficiency in a variety of computer software programs such as PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

Extensive experience with evaluation and strategic planning preferred. Experience with adult learning and knowledge translation preferred. Understanding of and experience with social media preferred. Familiarity with video and audio communication platforms such as Zoom, Skype or Google Meet.
