Active or eligible for registration or practice permit with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA) as a Health Care Aide, along with proof of education or completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire.
Additional Required Qualifications:Active registration with CLHA. Active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide directory. Current Basic Life Support (BCLS-HCP)-Healthcare Provider registration required. The candidate must have the physical capability to perform all aspects of the role, including the ability to lift up to and including 50lbs. Ability to function effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team required. The position required strong communication and organizational skills and must be committed to patient and family centered care. This position services the units in Neurosciences Program.
Preferred Qualifications:Basic computer skills, as well as familiarity with medical terminology is preferred. Neurosciences experience preferred.
