Completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire and active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory. Must provide a confirmation letter as proof of enrolment from the Directory at https://www.albertahcadirectory.com/health-care-aides/confirmation/. Nursing students currently enrolled in an approved Alberta nursing program who have successfully completed a minimum of 100 hours of practicum; and are either in their 1st year of practical nursing program; or 2nd year of baccalaureate nursing or psychiatric nursing program will be considered. Must attest to this compliance and provide proof of qualification.
Additional Required Qualifications:Healthcare Provider certification required. Member of the Heath Care Aide directory. Ability to work quickly and efficiently with minimal supervision. Must be able to work with and communicate effectively with team members. Basic computer skills required. Ability to lift 25 kgs, must not have current activity restrictions, such as pulling, pushing, reaching and bending. The candidate must have proficiency in Connect Care documentation. Must be able to float to ALL Pediatric Rehab Clinics and Unit 201 Pediatric Inpatient Rehab Unit. Ability to work quickly and efficiently with minimal supervision. Must be a strong team member and actively participate in a multi-disciplinary team. Medical Terminology course is required. Current BCLS-HCP taken within the last 12 months is required- issued from Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (HSFC) only.
