Active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory. Must provide a confirmation letter as proof of enrolment from the Directory at https://www.albertahcadirectory.com/health-care-aides/confirmation/. Nursing students currently enrolled in an approved Alberta nursing program who have successfully completed a minimum of 100 hours of practicum; and are either in their 1st year of practical nursing program; or 2nd year of baccalaureate nursing or psychiatric nursing program will be considered. Must attest to this compliance and provide proof of qualification.
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of a Health Care Aide Canadian accredited program. Current and active certification as a Health Care Aide. Current Heart and Stroke BCLS- HCP Level C certification. FMC PCU 61 Thoracic Surgery and Pulmonary HCA experience. Minimum 6 months experience (recent within last 1 year) of acute medical/surgical inpatient nursing experience. Demonstrated accountability, critical thinking, interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge and experience with the following programs: Connect Care and HCA documentation experience. Effective communication (written and verbal). Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing and fluctuating workloads. Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with team members.
Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated ability to work as a team. Ability to maintain collaborative relationships with all members of the multidisciplinary team. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the values of AHS - compassion, accountability, respect, excellence and safety. Demonstrate ability to manage change.
