Post-secondary education in accounting and/or business administration with finance experience (or equivalent). Solid knowledge of general financial and administrative policies. At least 3 years of related experience. Preference given to those with research administration/clinical trials experience.
Additional Required Qualifications:Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, spreadsheet design and relational databases. Demonstrated ability to monitor financial transactions for multiple projects or accounts and assist with interpretation of financial information for analysis and forecasting purposes. Excellent written and oral communication skills, and keen attention to detail. Ability to work as part of a cohesive team. Ability to organize, prioritize and balance workload, and work with a high degree of independence. Flexible and willing to learn new skills, systems and processes. Physical demands of the job include sitting for extended periods, packing, moving & lifting boxes of clinical trials documents weighing up to 35 lbs., and using repetitive motions, lifting, bending, reaching and standing for prolonged periods. Preferred Qualifications:Experience with clinical trial procedures, finance, or budget negotiation is an asset. Knowledge of medical tests and procedures. Experience working with a pharmaceutical sponsor, clinical research organizations or in an academic oncology medical center. Extensive knowledge of Excel and Access preferred. Connect Care/EPIC experience is an asset.
