Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in a health related field. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Master of Nursing; Master of Social Work; Master of Occupational Therapy; or Psychology: Master of Arts, Master of Science, Master of Education, Ph. D, Ed. D Minimum 3 years’ experience in community mental health providing assessment and treatment with adolescents with a wide variety of mental health, developmental, learning and behavioral issues within the last 5 years. Training and experience in individual, group and family therapy modalities. Competency in using the DSM V diagnoses. Theoretical knowledge or experience with Trauma Informed Care and attachment based perspectives. Experience and skills in crisis assessment, intervention and treatment including but not limited to Suicide Risk assessments across a variety of settings.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience liaising with Children's Services, schools, health partnership initiatives, NGOs, multicultural groups and program development. Training and experience in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and/or other evidence-based modalities.
