Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in a health related field. Active or eligible for registration with applicable professional association or college.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of one of the following programs: master's degree in Psychology; master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization), master's degree in marriage and family therapy including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; master's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; master's degree in Nursing and Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. All applicants are to be registered with a regulating body under the Health Professions Act. May be required to work out of Red Deer Provincial building, Red Deer Regional Hospital, Michener Bend (Protective Safe House and Step Up Step Down), and eventually the new Center of Excellence. This candidate is required to have knowledge and minimum 5 years post-graduate experience working with children, youth, and families, be flexible and adaptable to program and clients changing needs as well as be motivated to learn and develop clinical skills and teach/mentor students and other team members, understanding the complex relationships between the youth's physical, emotional, mental, developmental, and spiritual health.

Preferred Qualifications:

Five years post graduate experience working with children, youth, and families with complex needs required.
