Your Opportunity:
If you combine technical expertise in data analysis and visualization with strategic thinking, Assisted Living Alberta (ALA) is now seeking someone for the provincial role of Executive Director, Business Intelligence, Data & Analytics. This key executive leadership role ensures ALA leadership has the information and insights they need to make decisions and improve on Assisted Living service delivery and outcomes provincewide. An influential and skilled leader, the Executive Director will lead a team of approximately 25 employees. Responsibilities include translating the raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making, optimize operational efficiency, and enhance patient experience and outcomes. In this role, you will identify trends, predict future outcomes using data models, and act as a bridge between IT and business stakeholders to solve complex problems. Assisted Living Alberta (ALA) provides Albertans with the support they need through a comprehensive assisted living system that offers a full range of services, including medical and non-medical supports, continuing care homes, home care, community care, and social services. ALA is focused on delivering care more effectively and consistently across the province by enhancing home care community services, expediting access to supportive living environments and continuing care homes, and ensuring Albertans and their caregivers are well-informed. This provincial position can be located anywhere in the province. This position is eligible for a hybrid/remote working arrangement.

Graduate degree in analytics, statistics, health economics, public policy, business intelligence, or a related quantitative field. Minimum ten years of progressive experience in analytics, data leadership, or decision support, preferably within heath, social services, or large public sector systems. Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably within an organization of significant size, diversity, and complexity. Demonstrated clear pattern of personal and professional development.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Proven ability to lead large multi-disciplinary analytics teams. Deep understanding of data governance, performance measurement, and analytic best practices. Strong strategic thinking and ability to synthesize complex information for executive decision making. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights. Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments with competing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a health care setting is an asset.
