A Master's degree in a healthcare profession, health administration, business administration or a related discipline is required. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in management and operational roles in a healthcare organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated proven track record of successful leadership in a health care operations environment with previous continuing care experience preferred. Experience in other health care sectors is an asset.
Additional Required Qualifications:
A minimum of a graduate degree in health care management, business administration or a related health care field preferred. Equivalencies of education and experience will be considered. Progressive senior leadership experience in a healthcare environment, including a minimum of ten years' experience in a senior management role in clinical services or healthcare operations. Proven leadership, strategic and team building skills including ability to build consensus and support around common goals. Direct management responsibility for large-scale initiatives involving significant budget and complexity, a large staff and many diverse stakeholder groups. Exceptional project management skills and ability to balance competing priorities, complex situations and tight deadlines in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. Have exceptional leadership and negotiation skills to foster strong relationships and engage key stakeholders to deliver an efficient quality and safety and demand / capacity program, ensuring ease in accessing key services.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strategic thinking, knowledge and demonstrated application of business planning, modeling concepts and project management theories, principles, and practices. Effective leadership skills and knowledge of change leadership, quality improvement, patient safety and risk management, policy development, and ability to manage diverse human, financial and physical resources in a changing and multifaceted environment with complex and sensitive issues.
