Description:
As an Electronics Technologist II, you will perform maintenance and repair duties on a variety of complex non-clinical electronic systems in accordance with manuals, specifications and AHS standards and practices. You will be responsible for complex non-clinical electronic systems and will exercise independence when completing daily responsibilities of the position.

Completion of an accredited Journeyperson Certificate in one of the following trades: Electrician, Electronics Technician or Instrument Technician from Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training; or completion of a two-year diploma of related technology (Electronic Technologist).
Additional Required Qualifications:Performs installation, maintenance alteration and repair duties on complex non-clinical electronic systems (Rauland 4/5 nurse call, AV equipment, intercoms, paging systems, security cameras, automatic doors, AMEG access control, variable speed drives, MDRD sterilization equipment, warning cabinets, pneumatic tube systems, laboratory equipment, ultrasonic cleaners, instrument washers etc.). Completes repairs, service and maintenance in support of a wide variety of non-clinical systems. Must be able to lift 50LBS/22.5KG. Must be self-motivated. Must be able to be half mask fit tested. All other duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications:2 years experience in a hospital environment. Experience commissioning large and complex building systems is considered an asset. Experience reviewing design drawing and specifications considered an asset.
