Bachelor's degree in a health or education related field. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable regulatory college.
Additional Required Qualifications:Knowledge of typical child development in preschool aged children to adolescents. Knowledge of the implications of children with significant developmental disorders in the classroom. Strong background in assessment methods and special education. Valid Alberta Teacher's Certificate. Teaching experience in regular and/or special education across all grade levels. Knowledge of Assistive Technology and Augmentative Communication strategies and devices. Demonstrated understanding of the development and implementation of Individual Program Plans.
Preferred Qualifications:Master of Education. Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team
