Minimum of two years’ post-secondary education or equivalent of (seven to ten years) supervisory or management experience within in a related public safety field. Additional Required Qualifications:
Proven multi-tasking and effective decision-making abilities in a fast paced, stressful environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills along with strong organizational skills and ability to effectively gain commitment from others. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Demonstrated ability to manage change and to create innovative solutions to complex or diverse issues. Ability to manage human, financial and physical resources within an operating environment. Proven ability to lead strategic planning and foster partnerships to achieve organizational goals and ideally managing performance within a unionized sector. Strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA) designation. Certified Protection Professional (CPP). Security Management Certificate or equivalent public safety related certification. Management or progressive leadership experience in healthcare security within the last 10 years.
