Your Opportunity:
The Director, WestView Health Centre is a leadership role in the Suburban Hospitals – Edmonton Zone portfolio reporting directly to the Senior Operating Officer, Suburban Hospitals – EZ. This position is responsible and accountable for leading an operational team in planning, delivery, and evaluation of programs and services in support of the vision, mission, and business plan of Alberta Health Services. The Director, WestView Health Centre will develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders and leaders in order to provide operational leadership to and oversee all related programs and services.
Description:
The Director provides direct support and expert council to the Senior Operating Officer on all aspects of the area operations. The Director is accountable for implementation, operationalization, management, quality measurement programs, and monitoring of service delivery in the most effective, leading manner. The Director will work in collaborative partnership with the Site Medical Leadership Dyad partners. The Director will integrate LEADS in a Caring Environment Competencies into the performance of their role. In addition, all activities and decision making will integrate the core values of the AHS Leading with Values framework: Respect, Accountability, Transparency, Engagement, Safety, Learning, and Performance.

A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, plus appropriate licenses and designations in a health discipline. At least 5 years in a Director/Manager role in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to lead change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Effective communication skills, strong organizational skills, client focus, and commitment to quality services. Experience in collaborating with physicians, and other healthcare professionals. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others
Preferred Qualifications:
A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development.
