Required Qualifications:

Active registration with the applicable discipline specific regulatory college or professional/certified membership with applicable association and; Discipline specific master’s degree or master’s degree in a related field. Minimum of 7-10 years practice or operational leadership in organizations of significant size, complexity and diversity. Evidence of significant depth and breadth of expertise in own health discipline and broad knowledge of other disciplines across sectors and the care continuum. Ability to present complex ideas, anticipate potential barriers and influence others to adopt a preferred point of view or direction.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within a large, diverse organization and managing within a unionized sector. Ability to foster a climate of collaboration and cooperation among, and build solid relationships with, public agencies, government, boards, committees and other stakeholders/partners. Uses strategic thinking, taking into account AHS and Alberta Health long-term goals assessing options and implications. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching, mentoring and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others.
