Required Qualifications:

Completion of extended diploma from an accredited ultrasound program or completion of certification in Diagnostic Sonography from an accredited program. Active or eligible for registration with Sonography Canada and/or Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT and/or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Experience with providing specialized imaging for complex adult congenital heart disease patients with genetic arteriopathy, neuro muscular disorders, bicuspid aortic valves, atrial septal defects, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy anomalies and general adult congenital heart conditions. Knowledge and scanning expertise of all echocardiographic procedures such as but not limited to (2D-Mode/Doppler/Transesophageal/RV Biopsies/Stress Echo/Contrast). Experience using the following systems: ISCV, Connect Care. Successful completion of connect care training modules for cardiac sonographer.

Preferred Qualifications:

Echocardiography experience with neonatal and pediatric Echocardiography. Minimum 2 year of experience as a Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer in an acute care setting (equivalent to 0.5 FTE or greater) within the last 5 years.
