Required Qualifications:

Degree level education in a technical field (preferably health informatics, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or equivalent), or several years equivalent experience. Minimum five years' experience in the application of information technology, database design and information management, ideally in a healthcare environment. Business/Functional analyst experience would be an asset. Equivalencies of education and experience may also be considered.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Must abide by the highest standards of confidentiality and have a sound understanding of the principles within Alberta's Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, as well as the Health Information Act Proficiency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present highly technical subject matter to non-technical audiences at various levels.


Preferred Qualifications:

High level of business knowledge, problem solving, sound judgement, and critical thinking skills are necessary. Ability to create test plans and facilitate User Acceptance Testing. Proficient in database modeling, tuning, auditing, data architecture, PL/SQL coding, experience in report generation/analytics. Sound knowledge of Oracle, ability to create SQL Queries required. Experience with Diagnostic Imaging preferred. Epic Clarity certification and snowflake training preferred.
