Your Opportunity:
Coordinator II is a multi-skilled position responsible for executing project-related activities for small projects/initiatives and/or portions of larger projects/initiatives to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished within the UAH Site Standards, Policies and in accordance with established Alberta Health Services’ standards and practices. Reporting to Director, Facilities Maintenance and Engineering (FM&E), the Coordinator II position department’s single point of coordination for all construction and Project-related activities for Alberta Infrastructure, Capital Management, as well as internal FME Projects such as Site specific and IMP (Infrastructure Maintenance Projects), preventive and demand maintenance shutdowns and service interruptions within the University of Alberta Hospital campus. Working with Consultants, Clinical Leads, Site Leadership, FME Leadership, and frontline staff, the position’s role includes, but is not limited to: Coordination and scheduling of meetings for Project Coordinator(s), Contractor(s), and FME representation. System isolations in coordination with clinical staff. Work permits to assist in coordinating work throughout the UAH site. Drawing reviews to maintain documentation standards. Provincial project coordination, as well as, ensuring all appropriate permits and approvals have been obtained. This position is also responsible for preparing, distributing, and archiving all related paperwork and correspondence. In addition, the Coordinator II keeps a database of all project activities for AHS reference.

Completion of post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Post secondary courses related to a Construction, Trade field (Architectural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) or Journeyman Certificate is required or University Degree or Diploma in (Architectural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical). Windows, MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat. Knowledge of commercial/institutional construction methods and of construction management and contract administration. Ability to understand and read blueprints and floorplans. Experience managing a large budget. Knowledge of construction, mechanical, electrical systems and architectural. Windows, MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat. Oracle, AutoCAD and reading drawings. Building construction technology training from an accredited technical school or equivalent. Procurement and Oracle knowledge. eFacilities / any other ERP System - Working knowledge. Infection Control knowledge. WHMIS training.
Preferred Qualifications:Project Management Certification and training would be an asset. CSA Z317 certificate is an asset. Flood Remediation Training is an asset. Related Trade Journeyman status or equivalent experience and training would be an asset.
