Your Opportunity:

This is a 10-month temporary position (till March 31, 2026) to join the Alberta Cervical Cancer Screening Program. As a member of the Alberta Cervical Cancer Screening Program (ACCSP), the Program Coordinator provides support and collaboratively plans, implements and evaluates assigned projects and operational activities related to cervical cancer screening. Working within an evidence-based, population health framework, the Program Coordinator assists in major provincial initiatives. The role is consultative and collaborative in nature and works with program partners and stakeholders across the screening pathway. This position works with a high degree of independence and requires demonstrated proficiency in data analytics and problem-solving skill sets. As a member of the provincial team, the Program Coordinator utilizes research and evaluation skills, project management skills, quality improvement approaches, and health promotion strategies aimed at improving cervical cancer screening in Alberta. Some activities includes but not limited to: • Developing project charters, preparing detailed project plans, and ensuring the overall objectives, targets/KPIs and timelines are met. • Stakeholder engagement and effective communications. • Facilitating the work of team members, • Monitoring performance against the ACCSP’s strategic and business plans. • Risk management and initiating appropriate action to keep projects on tract. • Project implementation, research (literature/scoping reviews, environmental scans). • Project evaluations, data analysis and communicating results. Required Qualifications:

Baccalaureate degree in a health-related field. Master's degree in health promotion, public health, health sciences or a related field. Preference may be given for additional education and/or experience.

Additional Required Qualifications:

5 years’ experience in the development, planning, implementation and evaluation of public health programs and applying health promotion theories. Experience working with a variety of healthcare providers is an asset. Demonstrated success in developing and managing multiple public health, quality improvement or program planning projects with multi-stakeholder involvement. Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to liaise and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated excellent presentation skills. Shows initiative and ability to work independently and interdependently. Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision. Knowledge of evidence-based program implementation, dissemination, and translation concepts (e.g., research to practice), including the ability to write technical content for use by diverse audiences, (i.e., clinicians, researchers, policymakers, target population). Experience working with databases, performance management systems, or other data collection systems and comfort with analyzing and evaluating complex data information. Ability to multi-task in a complex multidisciplinary environment. Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail. Comprehensive computer skills with competency in Windows-based office applications, including MS Office: Word, Project, Visio, PowerPoint and Excel. Ability to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Critical thinking and ability to problem solve. Experience working with a variety of healthcare providers. Familiarity with change theories and/or quality improvement methodologies. Community engagement and facilitation experiences in a variety of healthcare settings. Demonstrated successes in managing multiple projects concurrently. Demonstrated successes in research publication with strong data analytics skills. Skilled in change management.
