Completion of bachelor's degree in a health or education related field.
Additional Required Qualifications:Training in the field of teaching & learning and group facilitation. Minimum 1 year’s recent experience in group facilitation/teaching. References supporting a strong skillset in the following areas: communication, (written, verbal and interpersonal), teaching, facilitation and presentation, critical thinking, effective time management & organization. Training/Education and/or understanding in the areas of Population and Public Health, comprehensive sexuality education, trauma-informed care, harm-reduction & stigma awareness approaches to education, health care or social service provision. References supporting the ability to participate effectively as a team member, including the ability to accept direction & feedback; work creatively with initiative, withholding judgement & adaptability; manage a variety of values and perspectives with tact, diplomacy & sensitivity to diverse populations & circumstances
Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated knowledge, training and application of educational theory, youth learning & development, human sexuality, 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusive practice, cultural awareness & humility. Lived/worked experience in creating safer spaces for people including all sexual orientations, gender identities, people of colour, Indigenous people, people with disabilities or newcomers. Lived/work experience with populations disproportionately impacted by health disparities. Experience with professional writing.
