Your Opportunity:
Grande Prairie Regional Hospital (GPRH) is seeking a skilled and versatile Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist to join our collaborative team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a modern, full-service regional hospital where you’ll contribute to diagnostic imaging. As a Combined Technologist, you’ll perform general radiographic procedures, supporting a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
Description:
As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I, you will perform procedures in both the laboratory and in diagnostic imaging, typically in rural sites. You will work as a member of the inter-professional team and be responsible for collecting and analyzing biological specimens, conducting X-ray examinations, ECGs and reporting results. Your responsibilities include preparing patients, venipuncture and micropuncture, routine equipment maintenance, maintaining supplies and performing quality control procedures as required.

Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).
Additional Required Qualifications:Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience in a rural or regional hospital setting. Familiarity with Connect Care or other electronic health record systems.
