Your Opportunity:

As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I, you will perform examinations in a high paced diagnostic imaging department. You will work as a member of the inter-professional team and be responsible for preparing patients, producing diagnostic images, provide exceptional patient care, and perform quality control procedures as required.

Description:

As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I, you will perform procedures in both the laboratory and in diagnostic imaging, typically in rural sites. You will work as a member of the inter-professional team and be responsible for collecting and analyzing biological specimens, conducting X-ray examinations, ECGs and reporting results. Your responsibilities include preparing patients, venipuncture and micropuncture, routine equipment maintenance, maintaining supplies and performing quality control procedures as required.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Able to multitask and work well independently. Able to work within a multidisciplinary team. CPR/BLS certification up to date.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous DI experience is an asset. Previous Connect Care experience is an asset.
