Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Successful completion of a Master of Nursing level or equivalent. Demonstrated knowledge of adult teaching and learning principles. Ability to develop education resources and presentations related to chronic pain management for colleagues, staff, and stakeholders. Additional professional development to meet the requirements of the job. Excellent time management skills. Demonstrated ability to function effectively both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:3 years adult focus nursing practice experience in acute or ambulatory care. Experience providing chronic pain management. Knowledge of chronic pain management interventions and medications used to treat chronic pain knowledge of community resources and agencies to. Support the chronic pain patients. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with the development and/or implementation of evidence-based practice.
