Completion of bachelor's degree in Child & Youth Care or a related field or equivalent education and experience.
Additional Required Qualifications:Post secondary undergraduate degree training in Early Childhood or other related human services field required. Experience working with families with children 0 -5 years. Knowledge and experience in child development screening and family assessment. Knowledge and experience in coaching and adult education, stages of normal child development, child development difficulties, family dynamics and intervention. Theories of play as approach to teaching young children. Adult learning theories. Experience working in an interdisciplinary team with OT, PT, SLP, RD, SW, and Audiology. Travel is required, a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle is required along with the ability to drive in Northern Alberta in normal winter driving conditions. Must by physically able to lift, carry and play with young children in a variety of settings and environments. Must be proficient with computers and use of Word/Excel/Powerpoint.
Preferred Qualifications:Proficiency with electronic charting, Connect Care is preferred.
