Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing required. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). 3-5 years in a health care provider role with primary areas of experience working with seniors and those with alterations in cognitive/psychiatric status role Minimum of 1 year working in a leadership capacity. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Effective leadership abilities combined with a strong commitment to operating within a team environment and the ability to motivate and inspire other to achieve common goals. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation amongst, and build solid relationships with public agencies, government, committees and other partners.
Preferred Qualifications:
CNA Certification in Gerontological Nursing. Master’s Degree in Gerotology / Administration / Nursing / Public Health.
