Business Analyst
Your Opportunity:
As an experienced professional with a strong understanding of how business processes can be optimized, you will play a key role in transforming the way clinical programs leverage existing IT solutions for delivery of care within the IT Community Care Services portfolio. Review of optimization for workflows through system integration, configuration, and process improvements will be key in supporting transition to operations and aligning IT systems with evolving healthcare needs. As a Business Analyst, you will act as a liaison between clinical programs and business operations, ensuring that deliverables align with both strategic objectives and operational needs. In this role, you will be instrumental in coordinating ongoing and upcoming projects, continuous improvement initiatives, helping to drive efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation across a wide range of healthcare programs. You will collaborate with various teams and stakeholders involved in critical health initiatives to elicit requirements, define scope, plan tasks, and prioritize initiatives to ensure successful execution and alignment with business objectives. You will support ongoing development and optimization efforts for IT systems, helping to ensure all solutions deliver sustainable value. This position offers flexibility regarding location within the Province of Alberta, with the successful candidate having the opportunity to discuss location options with the hiring manager at the time of appointment.

As a Business Analyst, you will work as a liaison among stakeholders in order to understand the structure, policies and operations of an organization, and to recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. You will interpret client needs, assess requirements and identify solutions to non-standard issues and requests, provide advice and direction to clients, and contribute to solutions by providing input into strategy, workflows and delivery for assigned projects and programs.

Completion of a post-secondary degree in a related field, or equivalent level of education and experience.
Additional Required Qualifications:Proven experience in building consensus and gaining the cooperation of stakeholders, including management, clinicians, and cross-functional teams, to drive business objectives. Ability to facilitate productive discussions among diverse groups. Experience in leading or supporting process improvement initiatives or business transformations to optimize workflows, enhance efficiency and align operations with strategic goals. Strong time management skills with the ability to set and meet deadlines, adapt to shifting priorities, and work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment, with experience in coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve business outcomes. Experience in implementing, optimizing, and supporting business solutions, including vendor-managed systems, to enhance organizational processes and improve service delivery. Experience with change management processes and supporting business users through transitions and new system implementations. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify potential risks and mitigation strategies in development.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in Connect Care an asset. Knowledge of software development lifecycles and familiarity with tools for requirements tracking (e.g., JIRA). Experience working in an Agile or hybrid environment. Proficiency in using business analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, Visio, or business intelligence platforms. Experience with business process modeling, workflow analysis, and process optimization techniques.
