Bachelor¿s degree in psychology or related field, combined education and experience will be considered. Minimum of two years' experience in a Mental Health setting. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS - HCP). Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification. Possession of a valid driver's licence and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel.
Additional Required Qualifications:5 years’ experience working concurrently with individuals and families with mental health and addiction through a case management model. Additional experience working with individuals who have addictions, brain injury and/or developmental disabilities / concerns with accompanying behavioural issues. Experience with systemic client-centered care, trauma-informed care, harm reduction, foundational understanding of systems and psychosocial rehabilitation principles. Strong communication, therapeutic relationship, and interpersonal skills in order to navigate and work within multiple systems with diverse needs and resources. Effective computer and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Child, Youth & Family Enhancement Act, AHS/RA Policies & Procedures and other relevant legislation is an asset. Experience with applied behaviour management strategies (positive approaches), Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, etc.
