Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Baccalaureate degree in Nursing. Minimum 3 years' experience as a Registered Nurse with a minimum 2 years' experience at a 0.5 FTE or greater in the Alberta provincial Public Health Nursing programs. Minimum 1 year experience within the past 5 years at a minimum 0.5 FTE in the Provincial CDC program. Experience in a role developing and delivering educational programs or initiatives and/or developing clinical guidance documents (e.g., processes, procedures, guides). Experience in leadership and mentorship. Demonstrated skills/proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS teams, SharePoint). Demonstrated excellent communication/interpersonal skills and a high degree of initiative. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively with members of a multidisciplinary health care team. Skilled in retrieval and appraisal of evidence from a variety of credible sources to provide current accurate information. Reliable internet access and ability to maintain a confidential workspace is required for remote work.
Preferred Qualifications:Proven experience with communicable disease control, with focused expertise in immunization and the prevention, investigation, and control of notifiable diseases and outbreaks. Previous experience in an AHN role related to communicable disease, outbreak management or immunization. Ability to work effectively in a virtual team. Master’s degree - completed or in progress.
