Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:Current CARNA registration required. Baccalaureate degree required. Current BCLS–HCP level required. Minimum 5 years medical nursing experience in an acute care clinical setting with two years proficient progressive leadership. Ability to effectively function in a charge nurse capacity. Successful completion of CNEPH certification strongly encouraged. Demonstrated ability to plan, assess, and coordinate complex care for acute medical patients. Competence in relevant technical nursing skills and a willingness to learn new skills as required Demonstrates responsibility for maintaining own competence through professional development activities. Good communication skills and the ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
